I need some very wise guidance about summer purchases before I go and buy all the wrong things like usual.
I have £250 to spend on some summer clothes - primarily they need to be suitable for work but any crossover into out-of-work would be great too.
When I had a session with a personal shopper a couple of years ago, she steered me towards beige-y / camel / cream shades - I also like grey. Exciting, no?
I'm 40, size 12-14, 5'11. Legs my best feature, stomach my worst. My major problem is that I have very long (34" inseam) legs so most high street trousers don't fit - Next and Gap long length are the only ones I can get long enough.
I'm a primary school teacher and our dress-code is fairly relaxed (no suits but no jeans either, leggings a grey area) but obviously needs to avoid anything very low-cut or knicker-flashingly short.
Whilst I know it's not a very big budget, it's all I can spare at the moment, so how best to use it?
Please help. You're all so good at this and I am not.
