growing our fringe -argh

I have recently stopped straightening my hair and leaving it wavy. I've had it bobbed and love it - it's a real breath of fresh air to not have to spend so much time on it.

However, I'm also growing out a fringe which I'm managing by blow-drying/straightening. I'm struggling with it though as I miss the look of my fringe, and don't really know what to do with it while it's growing out. I don't think it suits me clipped back.

Any words of advice, experience during this "transtioning" phase. I'm hoping within the next few months it'll be long enough to become part of the rest of my hair, if that makes sense...if I manage to stick it out till then!!!!

Have you tried braiding it into the hair? Like this:

I would suggest cutting into it a little and making it into a sweeping fringe whilst you grow it out as it will make it less bulky and easier to grow out.
