I have a £50 voucher to spend at Bluewater tomorrow, courtesy of my lovely FIL. What shall I buy? I might be in the market for a naice mascara, but must really really lengthen my lashes, not make them fat, please. Other than that I have no clue: clothes, shoes, make up, what do you suggest?

(I may need to reserve a tiny bit of it for the fancy chocolate shop...)

Ooh have fun!
I always liked the YSL mascara, in the gold tube, can't remember what it's called!
Oh and well done for keeping your Christmas money for this long! Shock

The new Benefit mascara, Roller Lash, is v good for lengthening lashes.

Nice new nail varnish for Spring?

LizzieVereker · 08/04/2015 22:58

Thank you both - I'll definitely have at look at those mascaras.

The benefit mascara is great but I really rate their gimme brow eyebrow make up. Nicest eyebrows I've ever had.

Oh I'd go for the Urban Decay Naked palette, best £38 I've ever spent and also with my Christmas vouchers! I probably would never have bought it for myself otherwise.

For lengthening lashes I would recommend boots no 17 hd lashes - only £7 or so so you can spend the rest on a fab new foundation and lippy Grin I really like benefit oxygen foundation for summer though it's not a good shade match for me..

Naked palette brilliant, if you need long lasting everyday eyeshadows.

Personally right now I would buy:

Rollerlash
One pair of beautiful knickers (no idea if M&S is at Bluewater but I like the Rosie silk ones)
Nice bubble bath
Couple of nail varnishes

estee lauder mascara in the blue and gold tube is like MAGIC
Depending on your age and skin, I strongly recommend the Clarins primer in a red jar - it's like wondrous polyfilla for the face and is good enough on its own - no need for a foundation on top. It's like face soft-focus

Thank you all; I did very well with my £50!. I got some 3 for 2 make-up in Boots (L'Oreal CC cream, the 17 mascara recommended by Mowglik and a Max Factor eye liner. Was very tempted by the Benefit one but wasn't in the offer, sadly.

Also got a nice top - weirdly saw a woman wearing it whilst waiting patiently bored rigid for DS to spend his birthday money, thought "nice top", and then spied it in a shop two minutes later. And the obligatory posh chocs of course. Had £6 left over so splurged on cream cakes for other DS and got DH a fancy sandwich to take to work tonight.

Ooh lovely! Sounds like you had a nice day.

mowglik · 09/04/2015 21:26

Great you'll love the mascara, make sure you use the flat side of the brush first to load on product then the comby side to lengthen out the lashes Grin

Enjoy the rest of your haul!
