What kind of knickers do you wear?

Sorry for the pervy title, I swear I'm a regular poster ConfusedGrin.

Just wondering whether to change my knicker style, I've always worn thongs but last time I went knicker shopping I struggled to find many in the shops, seemed to be more full knickers etc. wondering if its time for a change back to full briefs. To be honest I don't particularly find thongs comfortable anyway and they look hideous on me.

I'm 42 btw, been wearing things since about 17.

What do you all wear on yer bum? GrinWink

I go for plain black cotton briefs for every day and matching set for the weekend. Never worn a thong, think I'd be pulling it out the whole time :-/

ElizabethHoover · 08/04/2015 08:40

PERVERT

Eustasiavye · 08/04/2015 08:41

Depends. Thongs for the gym . Day to day plain m&s cotton briefs. Night out with dp lacy/satin knickers that (hopefully) match my bra.

SauvignonBlank · 08/04/2015 08:44

Brazilian style. M and S do an every day multipack and posh ones too. Much more coverage than a thong but prettier than big pants. Quite flattering too.

Tanfastic · 08/04/2015 08:52

Might ditch the thongs then, go for something with more bum coverage.

Off to M&S today so will have a nosey.

boy pants....I think that is what they are called.

Black, seamless, stretchy, so so comfy.!

Usually 2 pairs for a fiver, and they do come in different colours I just like black.

mowglik · 08/04/2015 08:53

I've always wondered what the benefit of thongs vs normal knickers are?? Genuine question - I've worn them for DH for all of a few seconds before they come off (sorry tmi) but can't imagine wearing them all day?

I wear bikini knickers which are smaller than high waisted briefs, and short style ones which are comfy for lazy at home days

The benefit for me has been no VPL but that mattered ore when I was young and erm...perky.

I always but them in a size bigger too so you don't get them digging in where you don't want them digging in Confused.

Bikini Knicks, sounds like a plan.

I decided a few years back that things had had their day and went for M&S no VPL shorts which are Ok, but in situations where VPL is a proper problem (like under gym gear) a thong is the only thing that really work

The M&S no VPL ones aren't as good as they used to be either. I really haven't solved this problem.

ArcangelaTarabotti · 08/04/2015 09:29

I have a bad appendix scar, and anything like boy pants just too uncomfortable. I wear simple thongs a size larger, goes above the scar. Not worn any other kind since thongs became available in 'normal ' shops Grin - maybe for 25 years??

trixymalixy · 08/04/2015 09:32

I used to wear thongs before I had kids. Now I just find them too irritating where I have a scar, so I wear Brazilian knickers too.

OnlyLovers · 08/04/2015 09:33

This kind of thing from Gap. I like cotton, simple, in nice bright colours and prints. They often do 3 for 2 and other good offers, as well.

SuperFlyHigh · 08/04/2015 09:34

Something like this for everyday:-

Uniqlo:-

www.uniqlo.com/uk/store/goods/144682

But also:-

Top Shop:-

www.topshop.com/en/tsuk/product/clothing-427/lingerie-2313836/3-for-10-knickers-2313328/daisy-low-rise-mini-knickers-3977298?refinements=category~%5b213650%7c208533%5d&bi=1&ps=200

and rarely this style (not with the stars but chiffon or faux satin):-

Accessorize:-

uk.accessorize.com/view/product/uk_catalog/acc_5.59/7970381652

I don't really DO VPL but occasionally wear a nude/shell pink seamless pair for that.

I also tend to buy knickers in Top Shop sale... good bargains.

Tanfastic · 08/04/2015 09:36

Think I'm going to go for something like that Only - I'm going in Gap today too so will check them out Smile

SuperFlyHigh · 08/04/2015 09:37

I also like bright colours and prints - the Top Shop pair above I bought recently.

My SIL got into a Christmas tradition with me whereby we buy knickers as stocking fillers but she tends to like/buy me French knickers, with lace... which are nice but not really me!

OnlyLovers · 08/04/2015 09:50

Get some for me, Tan, would you Smile; I won't be able to get to a Gap for ages and can't justify the delivery charge for a few pairs of underkecks ...

Notso · 08/04/2015 09:50

I don't have a style of pants, just wear whatever I like and is comfortable.

I've never understood why VPL is deemed to be so horrific. Who gives a fig about someone else's knickers?

Superexcited · 08/04/2015 09:53

I wear bikini briefs or boy style shorts. I have a drawer full of things but haven't worn any for a few years as they are just so damn uncomfortable.

Jokerstotheright · 08/04/2015 09:54

I wear boy shorts and find them comfortable and flattering on my shape. Can't wear thongs any more.

FluffyTheEvilOne · 08/04/2015 10:02

Boy shorts style. Briefs give me vpl and thongs are sodding uncomfortable!

MumSnotBU · 08/04/2015 10:21

I find thongs uncomfy- someone upthread said not to pull them up like knickers. How do you pull them up? Blush

Judydreamsofhorses · 08/04/2015 11:15

Usually thongs with jeans/trousers, shorts with dresses. I always buy matching sets, and usually get two styles of knickers for every bra.
