How do I make my feet look nice ?

I hate my feet, they look a bit hobbity / trolly. They are quite fat and splodgey, when I push them down they kind of splodge - a bit like play dough.
I have no idea why they're fat, I am not over weight, I just have fat feet Grin my toes are also a bit wonky anod my little toes are a kidney bean shape. I have inherited my Dad's egg shaped big toe - thanks Dad.
My Mum has such lovely delicate looking feet, which adds insult to injury really.
For years I have tried to hide them away in pumps or trainers and have only got them out at home, but I am fed up with that, they are what they are - only feet, and they do get me about, so they suit their purpose. I am a grown woman, I am not going to get het up about ugly feet anymore.
I do want to try and make them look as good as they possibly can though, I just want them to look clean, neat and tidy, so how do I do that ?
Tia oh wise Mners.

I use a good foot cream, keep my nails presentable and apply nail varnish when I am going to go barefoot. I don't like my feet either but I've learnt to just make the best of them and relax about it. I'd rather wear the lovely shoes I like as life's too short to be self-conscious about things that most everyone else won't ever notice.

But I feel much, much better about them when I keep them in good condition.

Foot cream a couple of times a week

Nails cut straight across and never, ever too long

Pretty colours on summer days - That's the fun bit!

Thanks, I soaked them tonight in some foot soak crystals I got for Christmas. Cut and filed the nails and moisturised them. I haven't painted my nails for ages, will pop to the shops tomorrow and get a nice colour.

The Rita Ora range of nail polishes for Rimmel are surprisingly good. The coral one is divine and has a lovely shiny finish.

Can you go for a pedicure. I hate my feet, a pedicure almost makes them attractive

AwfulBeryl · 07/04/2015 22:58

Thanks Frankie, will look out for it.
I could and should go for a pedicure, what exactly do they do ?

Clip your nails, exfoliate, moisturise and - most importantly - file off all the scabby bits of hard skin. If they're good they should advise you of any potential problems (corns, bunions) though only an actual chiropodist/podiatrist can deal with them. Oh, and they paint your toenails for you!

She does my nails, exfoliates my feet, massages them and removes hard skin.

Philoslothy · 07/04/2015 23:05

And paints my nails

That sounds lovely, I should really do more things like that, because I do really like being pampered. It is always one of the things I never find time for.
