So what colour Birkenstocks this summer...?

That's it really - I need a new pair of Madrids to last me all summer. I'm tempted by the pastel colours, or even navy, but wonder if I should just stick to a classic black patent.

I bought silver Florida birks last year and love them. Am going to buy the metallic navy pair this year.

Can someone explain to me the Papillio/Birkenstock thing please - are they the same company? What's the difference?

Papillio are narrower than standard Birkenstocks aren't they? Lovely designs tho. Euphemia, those are lush!

I'm after mayari style, in a metallicy bronze colour. Size 6. Would consider navy as an alternative, but I think the bronze goes with pretty much all of my wardrobe.
