Please help me find the work bag of my dreams

Since I started back back in full time work 4 years ago I've been carting round my work stuff in a rucksack. Yes, very practical, but stylish...no!

My ideal bag for work would have the following features:

Leather - black or brown
Big on the inside so I can carry A4 sized wallets plus packed lunch and/or gym stuff, brush
At least 3 pockets on the outside (preferably zipped) for Oyster/season ticket, wallet, pens, glasses case, lip balm, staff pass.
Long enough shoulder strap so I can sling it over cross body when I'm on my bike to the station.
Handles so I can carry it by hand on the crowded tube without getting in someone's way.
Costs less than £150

So far the best bag I have come across is this baby changing bag but the pockets on the front are a bit on the small side.

Also, it's not rectangular enough for me...yes yes I know I am a fussy bugger. But if I am going to buy myself a new bag I want it to be perfect!

I also like this style of mens' bag but £198 is over my budget.

Has anyone got an inspiration?

If you've been looking for a bag for 4 years and there is one you like that is £48 over budget, could you maybe just save up another £48?

Best one I have is a Radley one - it is brilliant but I'm afraid to say, I have gone back to my rucksack as it's just easier. Will look up the Radley one for you

I want a bag like that too but it does not exist! Closest thing I've found is this www.ospreylondon.com/item.php?product_id=1000927&product_name=THE-REMO-LEATHER-WORKBAG&gender=7&subCat=60

Efferlunt · 03/04/2015 20:57

If it had a front pocket I would totally but it and hang the expense!

I found one very similar to your description in tkmaxx - but as usual in there it's the luck of the draw...

That change bag is amazing - just what I've been looking for.
Nobody will know it's a change bag will they?

foxinsocks · 03/04/2015 21:16

Can't find the Radley so they must have stopped making it. I still take it when I travel abroad!

SasherinSuite · 03/04/2015 23:59

I know it's only another £50 but it's still more than I wanted to pay. Also I've only decided to buy a new bag recently.

Not keen on satchel style/vintage. The osprey one is lovely but no strap or outside pockets.

The fossil bag in the OP is reduced to &159 here:

Ooh very tempted by that itscurtains but not quite the colour I was looking for. Prefer chocolate brown to tan but.....Hmm

It's a great website though and I'm finding loads of inspiration.

Boots do a changing bag that looks almost identical to the one linked to in the OP for around £50. I had one as my baby changing bag and loved it. Think its also available from Argos. Didn't look like a changing bag at all.
