Seeing a lot of these whilst browsing for Spring/Summer stuff. I like them I think but not 100% sure.

I have lots of fedora questions Do you have one? Are you thinking of getting one? Have you seen any perfect ones around?

No one likes the hats.

I've justbought this one. Am v pleased with it.

vindscreenviper · 02/04/2015 16:27

I bought 11 y.o. DS one from New Look last year to complete his Tom Baker As Dr Who outfit and am thinking about reclaiming it. I don't think the brim is as wide as the ones in your pics and it seems to be out of stock too!

Not very helpful I know. Sorry.

Coumarin · 02/04/2015 16:27

I like that Remus hadn't thought of grey but much prefer it to black. Unfortunately that's out of stock.

What are you wearing it with? Just everything?

I'm remembering the bowler hat I wore when I was 17. My small miners town wasn't ready for it and much piss was taken. Grin I rocked that hat.

Hmm Tom Baker isn't the look I'm going for. Grin Excellent fancy dress choice though. Star

Not sure about the New Look one, something isn't quite right but not sure what. Could be the brim width as you say.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/04/2015 16:32

So far I've only worn it with skinnies and a biker jacket.

vindscreenviper · 02/04/2015 16:36

Yeah, I think the brim is about an inch too small, it doesn't have that soft, slight floppiness of the one in your pics. It looks a bit 1980s with my short curly bob too, I think I'll just wait for DS2 to grow into the frock coat and 10 foot stripy scarf and pass the whole outfit down the chain Grin

HubertCumberdale · 02/04/2015 16:37

Fedorable

Coumarin · 02/04/2015 17:35

Everything goes with biker jackets. Fedorable indeed.

Been having a mooch around Pinterest and think I'm sold. Floppy is good but not too wide. Need a less spendy one first in case it looks ridiculous on me.

M&S one here I tried it on but it was too big for my little head!

V nice but not cheap

Coumarin · 02/04/2015 18:33

Not keen on the huge dent on the M&S one. I know they have them but that's huge.

Love the UO one. Perfect. If only it was about £40 cheaper.

I saw this today.

Much nicer in the flesh, like a blush/nude colour.

Coumarin · 02/04/2015 20:37

Think I need to see that one in RL Pippin I'll add it to my things to do on Saturday list. Could be a good one for Summer maybe?

CointreauVersial · 02/04/2015 22:20

I bought a black one a couple of months ago. I really like it, and have worn it a few times with jeans/boots/big jumpers/gilets etc. I didn't spend too much money in case I didn't get the wear out of it (H&M) and would have preferred a grey one actually, but didn't find one.

DH loves it, but the DCs think it makes me look like Clint Eastwood.

I don't think I will wear it any more now until the autumn, though - it doesn't feel like Spring/Summer wear to me.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/04/2015 22:59

I plan to get as much wear as possible out of mine in the next couple of weeks! :)

Dp loves mine too. DD1 likes it; dd2 (17) less convinced!

Coumarin · 02/04/2015 23:57

I've got at least a couple of weeks plus of cold weather left here.

If I see any on Saturday I'll report back. Definitely will get one if it's the right look and price. Trying to wear things slightly out of my comfort zone a big more.

I have a dark red one from ASOS...you have reminded me I should wear it again! Got lots of compliments last time. You should definitely go for it!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/04/2015 15:32

Wore mine today, with black skinny combats and grey biker. I liked it. DD2 laughed like a drain though (removes her from will!).

burnishedsilver · 03/04/2015 15:40

I think they're silly looming, personally.

burnishedsilver · 03/04/2015 15:41

Looking, not looming.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/04/2015 16:29

Thanks for that. V helpful.

Takver · 03/04/2015 16:38

I am a total hat lover, I'd say go for it if you can find something like the ones in your picture.

I've got a gorgeous women's trilby style hat from these people, but they may be rather over your budget (I tend to spend my clothes budget on hats and boots Grin )

Coumarin · 03/04/2015 23:32

Ooh dark red sounds very nice Lou Think I'll try to find grey or a deep red rather than black.

I get they'll be a marmite thing. Hats often are. But I like a hat. I suit them and they can pull a whole outfit together imo. Unfortunately I don't have any these days, other than winter ones so a fedora is a start.

Sounds good Remus shame on dd2 Wink

OP posts:
Coumarin · 03/04/2015 23:35

Tak They're gorgeous. Shock at the price though. Maybe one day when I've won the lottery, I have a room full of £££ hats. (I spend the most on boots and coats at the mo.)

OP posts:
HmmAnOxfordComma · 03/04/2015 23:39

They had a really nice one in Accessorize, grey, quite inexpensive.

I nearly bought it because I quite suit a hat, but I also get really hot wearing one so didn't bother.

If you like them, go for it!
