Can you please help me accessorise this dress?

I've bought this dress from Ted Baker to wear at a christening and now I just don't know how to accessorise it. Am basically looking for shoes (heels, but not terrifyingly so), a clutch and jewellery.

The dress looks much nicer on than in the pics. Kind of like a 1950s hobble dress. Fabric is nice and thick. Not too clingy.

I don't want to go too over the top with the uber colourful Ted Baker style, but am not totally anti-colour.

I hope that isn't too vague! All help gratefully received.

The way the pattern seems to spread out across the models tummy makes her look pregnant!

Umm...thanks? Unfortunately I've actually bought it now so was looking for help with accessorising rather than more items to add to my list of insecurities.

I like the way its accessorised on the second pic down. Coral clutch and lime shoes.

It's a beautiful dress, don't worry. I don't think you need to go mad with accessories as the pattern is busy. Just same colour shoes and clutch bag?

Oops, sorry, it had been a long day. Blush

It is a lovely dress but on me would make me look pregnant. I wouldn't accessorise it at all, just a plain coloured bag and pair of shoes, it's got a lot going on already.

That's ok. It's actually really lovely on. The fabric is good quality so it doesn't look as cheap as it does online.

What colours do you all suggest. Sorry for the request to be spoon-fed; I just feel really stuck Confused

well obviously I don't know your opinions and tastes but me personally I'd accessorize it with a light pink clutch bag, lime green nail varnish or if that's too out there for you light pink nail varnish or a french manicure would be nice.
I'd minimise jewellery to just eArrings a ring and a bracelet. You don't need a necklace as the dress has enough detAil on it.
I would also wear a pink or lime hair slide. But likd I said. That's me.

I think a christening is quite a different occasion from a wedding - more solemn somehow. Given that (and I am sure loads of people will disagree) and the busy (but lovely) pattern/colour on the dress, I would keep the accessories to a minimum. No jewelry (except for a watch and stud earrings if pierced) and possibly nude/nude pink/taupe colours (as on the TB site) for shoes and bag?

I tried that dress on on Monday! I can confirm that it is lovely on.
I went with another TB dress in the end, I think pink heels would look lovely.

Lime nail polish sounds lovely

Plain black court shoes. Minimal jewelry. Black clutch bag. As colourful as you like on the nails.

Its a beautiful dress. It needs very little. The more you add to it the more you'll detract from it.
