Gabor are good but can be most dodgy on flats, might these work? these?

I always found a slight heel more comfortable when I was pregnant but that could just be my physiology, I think my ankle might be odd.

NameChange30 · 01/04/2015 23:02

Try Clarks or Hotter. Both should have stylish but comfy options.

The third pair you linked to are quite nice.

clutterfly · 01/04/2015 23:30

Maybe try m&s? Their shoes are pretty comfortable if that is your priority.

I usually love Gabor shoes. I had the ballets and they were of such poor workmanship they fell apart within a couple of wears. Really bad.

The loafers are ugly too. Though I have to say the JL website pics do them no favours at all.

Sorry - Gabor are great for comfort and sometimes match that with style, but not in either of these cases.

MrsLettuce · 02/04/2015 08:45

yy, Gabor and much more comfortable than most other 'comfortable' brands.

The couple of pairs I linked to are on Zalando, they seem to have several styles I'd not found elsewhere - although I think my post probably looks like I'm linking to non-gabor heels Hmm.

hollyisalovelyname · 02/04/2015 09:04

Seraphine Maternity do shoes called Shoe Therapy
Worth a look.

VillaVillekulla · 02/04/2015 09:15

I like the 3rd pair best. I also find Gabor shoes incredibly well made and comfortable. A lot of them are quite ugly but you can find a few gems. I love these www.jonesbootmaker.com/s/gabor-flat-shoes-formal-slip-on-2610404459

Not sure if links work on phone. They're the 'Hollywell' style.

VillaVillekulla · 02/04/2015 09:17

Or the Gabor Selba is quite nice.

madmomma · 02/04/2015 09:38

They're geox ballerinas.
Will I ever, EVER be able to do a proper hyperlink . Been trying for years, am such a SPANNER!

libertychick · 02/04/2015 09:45

Another MN'er recommended Elia B shoes to me last week. I bought a pair of leopard print loafers and they are so comfortable. I have a similar central London commute and a bad back so comfort essential. Can't link as I am on phone.

Another option is brogues. Work with lots of office wear. Clark's and Dune have comfortable versions.

M&s not as good as they used to be comfort wise IMO. Not enough undersole cushioning.

EssexMummy123 · 02/04/2015 10:58

not so keen on brogues, quite like these Geox ballerinas

Or these mid-heel in 'coffee' which i'm assuming is a really dark brown but looks black in the pic

I'd second the Seraphine Shoe Therapy range from a comfort in pregnant point of view. Have some lovely comfortable ponyskin ballets still going strong from a couple of seasons ago.

PrimalLass · 02/04/2015 11:17

My goodness, not Hotter.

INeedSomeHelp · 02/04/2015 11:43

I have quite a few pairs of Gabor shoes for work. I'm not pregnant but find them very comfortable and well made. I just got these but in black and I really like them.
They are maybe not the trendiest shoes going but they suit me for work.

hollyisalovelyname · 02/04/2015 11:52

What a pity Shoe Therapy no longer do the leopard print pump. It goes with nothing so actually goes with everything ( almost) iykwim

LeoandBoosmum · 02/04/2015 13:00

Hobbs have lovely ballet flat called Prior in lots of colours, really comfy and about the same price.

LeoandBoosmum · 02/04/2015 13:09

Link (including leopard print)
www.hobbs.co.uk/search/results?searchTerm=prior

polyhymnia · 02/04/2015 13:28

I am also a fan of the Hobbs Priors. Have had several pairs in past.

Think Geox ballerinas are even more comfortable because soles are thicker. Have had many and tried their current metallic ones on instore the other day - were very comfy.

Wouldn't personally ever have Hotter - there's something about the styles that's just 'off' even when they're trying hard IMO. And the only pair I've ever actually bought weren't even comfortable.

Don't think M and S in recent years have the quality to be comfortable personally. And don't like Ckarks though that's just me as loads of people on here do.

polyhymnia · 02/04/2015 13:35

libertychick those Elia B look nice - had never heard of them. Must check out.

highkickindandy · 02/04/2015 16:01

I find Ecco really comfy, good arch support without looking too frumpy
