Jeans for a 7 yo

My 7 yo DD loves wearing tunics/dresses with leggings/tights. She hates wearing jeggings or skinny jeans as she hates the feel of them. She's been like this ever since I can remember. I've been looking for bootcut or boyfriend jeans for her to try, but can't find any anywhere. Can I get straight cut or bootcut boys jeans for her? Is that acceptable?

Of course it's acceptable to get boys' jeans. My DD's the opposite, she only wears jeggings and finds stiff denim really uncomfortable. H&M do different styles. Like these. I'm sure I've seen looser fit jeans at M&S too.

gap, they sell all kinds of different fits. dd has some 'boyfriend' ones that have holes in the knees, shes 9 and loves her 'cool' jeans.

m&s have bootleg jeans in the older girls section and boden usually sell them as well, and with soft ribbed waists.

She might just not like jeans, I have never liked jeans either, I'm a tights and dress/skirt wearer, always have been. 38 now so don't think that will change anytime soon.

Thanks. I was looking for jeans as we're going on holiday up north this weekend and I hear it's cold at the moment, was thinking of an alternative to leggings/tights. Also she loves wearing trainers, but doesn't often because they don't go well with what she normally wears (pink sparkly trainers as a general rule!). She has two brothers and is quite girly. I'm quite happy with whatever she wants to wear (as long as it matches )

H&M do thicker, fleece lined leggings sometimes. DD has got some, she wears them for forrest school and they seem to keep her warm, in fact I suspect they're warmer than jeans.

Depending on her shape boys jeans might not fit her.

As she has hips and he doesn't.

Girls loose fit jeans might be a better bet.

Yes I've just been to the shops and boys jeans wouldn't be right, they're a different type of fit. I think she'd like a looser fit jean, as they are much more comfortable. I was thinking it'd be easier just changing tops with the same pair of jeans over a few days, rather than a new outfit every day

How about yoga pant type trouser or just jogging bottoms.

Although dd would usually declare herself fine in a dress and tights.

HelpMe that's great thank you. She'd hate the dungarees as anything with straps annoys her, but the harem pants are a good idea. Will give that a go!

H&M fleecey lined leggings or tracksuit bottoms are the only things my dress wearing 6yo finds acceptable. She used to like the Next jogging bottoms with very wide waist elastic, but they seem harder to find now in her size.

Dd was like this for a long time; jet wouldn't entertain jeans of any form.
So I just left her to it - leggings, tunics, dresses, skirts and tights. She always seemed warm enough.

Then as she got older she chose jeans herself bad now at almost 13 she wears skinny jeans pretty much daily when not in school uniform.

If you're in the uk you may find you don't need to buy anything at all? I don't think it's colder up North in April than over winter down south? What about tights and leggings?

What about combat style trousers? They can be nice with a more fitted t shirt. Or cords are warm/hardwearing and a bit softer than denim. Harem pants are nice but cooler and summery imo. My dd has some h&m leggings that are a bit thicker, they were a couple of quid more than the standard ones, Black with black polka dots on.
