Longer lasting pillar box red hair colour

Since I lost quite a bit of hair after CANCER, I've been every colour under the sun. Crazy colour, directions etc but I've found a great colour, and despite using colour protection shampoo and conditioner it's only lasting a week. I think it's the small box paste version of xxl brights or something.

I've seen a henna one that looks fab, but can you dye over henna when you want to change colour? And does anyon know of a longer lasting red? I know it's one of the worst longevity wise but I'm loving IT as I lost my job I can be free!, man!

Red is so, so difficult because it fades so fast!

I like the Garnier Olia intense red but it might not be bright enough for you.

I don't know if it's worth going to a hairdressers for it maybe?

Wella colour touch, which is a salon range but easy to use,has some very bold reds. The 66/45 shade and the 55/65 are both nice. I use these and top up every 3-4 weeks. you'll need to buy developer and colour but because you only mix what you need I find it cheaper in the long run. You can also mix them easily

I used to have bright red hair and then coppery orange and both faded really quickly. I didn't find that colour protecting shampoo etc did anything. What worked for me was conditioner with hair dye in it.

I used this brand. Not the cheapest but it worked, I'm sure other brands are out there too.

Ps you can buy it online or from Sally salon services
