Please help.
After 10 years of having the same hairstyle, the same blonde highlights, the same length...I'm bored!
I have gone rebellious at times and semi-perm dyed it warm brown and various shades of red, but everyone (except me) hated it and wanted me back as a blonde.
My current half-head blonde highlights, done at Xmas 
are showing the roots and at the least my hair needs a trim. Beyond that, I'm stumped.
I've started using only naturally-derived chemicals on my hair, and SLS-free shampoo and conditioner, so I'm kind of reluctant to have to go to a hairdressers and go through the whole silicone-coating that they normally give me. My hair is in much better condition now since giving up on these, so I could insist that they use my favourite products, but I'm kind of tired of subjecting my hair to the bleachy highlights every couple of months. And I don't want to go any blonder.
Can anyone recommend a different kind of hair dye process/style? I'm tired of the highlighting rut! Every time I tell my hairdresser so, she tries to get me to spend £100s on a full-head of highlights 
that is not the solution.
