Properly metallic nail varnish ?

Has anyone got a recommendation? Bronze or gold. I want a varnish that is properly metallic i.e. Really super shiny, not just a bit bronzy looking.

Perhaps you really want a nail wrap rather than a varnish - like Minx nails?? They look super shiny and metallic - like foil. Minx

Try Models Own, their chrome range is pretty special and the fastest drying nail polish I've ever used

Yes I've got a gold one. Looks lovely on. Got it from eBay

I Also have a silver one which is a lot more metallic looking than the gold

Barry M metallics are good. It's available in gold or silver and looks like a nail wrap. Cheap as chips too!

Thanks all. I have had the minx nail wraps before and love them, but they are always a little bit crinkly! What I want is a varnish that looks pretty much like that! I saw someone on the tube with something really metallic the other day but she was getting off so I couldn't ask her.

I love my nails to be metallic sometimes. The minx foils are fab for toes-last for weeks. But for fingers I (or rather the very nice girl who does my nails once a month!) mix metallic glitter into a paste with clear polish before applying it. If the glitter is coarse it looks glittery -but not rough as it can be filed smooth before top coat. But if the glitter is very fine it becomes like sheet metal-rose gold is lovely done like this. And I love gunmetal grey coarse glitter!!! I'm the pet hate of MN as I love a bit (lot!!) Of nail art so have this at the minute-with snow leopard print! Tacky-not in my opinion. I'd say I'm just expressing myself!!

Nails inc foil range is pretty good, its a foil look varnish comes in lots of colours tk Maxx have it for £4 currently. Be warned though even with a top coat it will only last a day.

Revlon Gold Coin looks great but I guess its nots super shiny enough even though its metallic. It looks better from a distance if that makes sense..very striking.

gold coin

Botanicbaby · 29/03/2015 23:14

PS its a lot better (cheaper & longer lasting) than the Chanel metallic range!

I like cnd vinylux locket love, barry m metallics and ysl dore orfevre (although the ysl one is a more subtle shade, bit of a cool gold not a yellow one).

That Gold Coin looks lovely. Will go and check out the Barry M ones too.
