I use the Liz Earle range and I really like it. Not expensive and nice and light. No comments on my youthful lokks though!!

bagpussmice · 02/11/2006 14:11

have just started using Origins white tea perfect world guardian and Youthtopia moisturiser and absolutely love both... used to be a clarins lover, but this is much better for moisturiser...my skins feels fab after applying. it is expensive though.
still use clarins daily orange somethign exfoliator which is yum.

Anyone any tips for oily and spot prone skin? Should I use a moisturiser? I have tried but end up feeling like a chip pan , and my make up slides off at the best of times.

I just wash with a tea tree wash...and go. I cannot seem to stop blackheads though. Will i ever find that magic product that can even really get rid of those?

Heathcliffscathy · 02/11/2006 14:19

honestly aloe vera gel (the 99.9 % stuff that you can get in healthfood shop) is like a miracle....worked when nothing else did!

Tinkerboo · 02/11/2006 14:40

So is that something you use on individual spots ? as I don't get too many of those just lately. But am plagued by the blackheads. can you use the aloe vera gel all over like a cream, will it get rid of them....FOREVER!? Is it magic?

Flangelina · 02/11/2006 19:56

Where can I get this Liz Earle stuff from please? I love Eve Lom cleanser (not moisturiser) and Lancome for everything else, but think I may have to buy something cheaper once I'm on maternity leave.

Gillian76 · 02/11/2006 19:59

liz earle only available mail order from her or QVC or from her shop in Isle of Wight!

fubsy · 02/11/2006 20:22

Caffeinequeen, for dermalogica (or any brand) cheaper, Google it then check the sites it brings up. Dont pay salon prices!

fubsy · 02/11/2006 20:23

Oh and if you use HQhair, the code beautybible gets you 10% off.

Tutter · 03/11/2006 12:42

wow - didn't expect such a response

have been offline since making the op but after a few rave reviews here am going to have a try of the liz earle products - have heard good things about the range before

Hi, I have Rosacea and bought some Dermalogica products after hey were recommended, mbut they didn't agree with me, so if anyone wants an almost completely full 250ml bottle of soothing protection spray (for sensitive skin) and 1.25fluid oz tube of barrier repair gel for cost of postage only. I'm in the US so postage would be about a tenner including decent pckaging. I think Demalogica products are great, they just don't agree with my ultra sensitive Rosacea skin!

I also have easy access to Cetaphil at my local drugstore so if anyone wants to buy any through me, I'd be happy to help. I use it, both on my face as a winter cleanser, and on my body as a moisturiser. It is seriously good stuff, very moisturising without being heavy and gloopy. The cleanser is divine for half the price of most others.

Nannyk's shop is open for business LOL

Flangelina · 05/11/2006 16:12

Thanks very much Gillian76.

sunnywong · 26/12/2006 08:10

so is that bollocks to all the Anti-7-Signs-Visible-Defense-Liposome-Pressure stuff and Yes to good diet and exercise and basic stuff that feels good on your skin?

What about Lush and those fresh face masks?

juicychops · 26/12/2006 08:20

That no.7 glycolic face peel thing from boots is brilliant. Ive been using it for a few weeks now and the skin on my face is really good. Its usually got big dry patches and really bad condition. Although its still not perfect, there are no big dry patches and the skin feels really new and soft. Especailly after you have first used it! But you have to use a lot of moisturiser straight after
