ive had my long hair cut shorter...think sienna miller....but i want a wave in it (aka sienna!)

would this work on this length hair? im wishing id seen it when i had longer tresses but never mind....

its pricey so im weighing up whether its worth the price....anyone got one and would it work on a long bob? i want that flicky messed up wave.....

i use it on my one length bob it works well. i just can't be arsed to use it these days though!

burnishedsilver · 28/03/2015 20:43

I'm very disappointed in mine. It takes much longer that I expected and its hard to to the back of my head. Its easier to use it on someone else. Also, it leaves the roots very flat. I've gone back to my heated rollers.

I have one and get great results on my shoulder length hair. The curls can last up to 2 days (more relaxed on day 2 but still nice). That said it is more time consuming than using my ghd's to curl so i tend to only use it at weekends when I have more time to get ready. Oh and I have the cheaper 'curl secret' version by babyliss. It was loads cheaper than the pro version, about £120 I think.

I love mine! My hair is shoulder length and it works really well and gives a lovely casual beachy look. I am usually really bad at anything like this but I find it pretty easy to use. Having said that, I aim for a messy look, so maybe that makes it easier!

I find it gives a perfect lasting curl, but it's way too time consuming to do. (also it's a little bit scary watching your hair being sucked up by the contraption and knowing the potential for it getting stuck and burning off!) Shock

I think it would probably work best on your length of hair. My hair was boob length when I used to use mine, and it was too long for it really. It easily became trapped and was just too much hassle.
I keep meaning to put it on ebay to be honest.

Lurking (with dead straight hair)

I've heard great things but only if you hair is mid length - mine isn't. I actually bought a styling wand and it's fabulous.

I'm also keeping an eye on this thread Wink

I love mine, I have very thick hair so it takes a while, but I only style it every 5-7 days, it just lasts and lasts!!

I would definitely recommend it. Smile

chipsandpeas · 29/03/2015 10:25

i love mine just dont use it as much as i could

almondcakes · 29/03/2015 15:27

People who are getting the curls to last more than one day, are you using some particular product on it?

chipsandpeas · 29/03/2015 19:54

i usually wash my hair the night before or in the morning so its not exactly fresh then i use tigi bedhead foxy curls i think its called (its a purple bottle) on dry hair, brush it thru then use the perfect curl and then hairspray

vicarinatutu · 30/03/2015 21:59

well i weighed up the cost vs results and ive ended up going for some heated rollers.

my hair very much does as its told.

ive got quite good at putting in a loose wave with straighteners and because its a messy layered bob it holds well.

in the end the cost was a huge factor for me.....the heated rollers were £30.

i only want a very loose wave - now its this length i can actually blow dry a wave in it and it flicks out at the ends anyway.

thanks everyone for the contributions. i think if i had left my hair long (it was right down my back) id have gone for the pro curl....but i want a gentle wave now its this length rather than a full on curl.
