Boden trousers

Any recommendations please, I am a loose 16 loosing weight well but in desperate need a new jeans / trousers as current ones have lost shape / too big. I have a couple of new tops I love, navy with thin pink stripe / green stripe, slash neck in a jersey fabric. I think some navy trousers would be quite smart... I'm not very good at smart but I'm almost 40 so I should probably start giving it a shot.

The Chelsea turn ups maybe?

Chelsea turn ups are good - nice fabric with a bit of structure to it, so not flimsy and therefore quite flattering imo. I have some navy and some black ones and they're a good bet for this time of year. If you want cheap and cheerful as you are still losing weight these m and chinos are quite good. Be warned they come up HUGE so try in store of size down.

Another vote here for Chelsea turn-ups . Found them a good basic last summer. And Boden have 25% off at moment.

I've just got the bistro crops. Good quality. Good fit. Maybe a trifle too long. More 7/8ths than cropped. I checked on the model though and they're quite long in her too.

Bistro and Chelsea are both fab. One is more slim Fitting than the other so I'd order both and see what suits. They are lovely quality

polyhymnia · 27/03/2015 21:48

Which do you find more slim- fitting, Oly? I haven't tried the Bistro ones.

lurkingaround · 27/03/2015 22:24

I have the Chelsea. I carry my weight on my hips and thighs and tbh I think the Chelsea are a bit too generous of thigh. And I'm quite pear shaped. Quality is really good tho. I like the look of the Bistro but they don't have belt loops, and I needs belt loops. Darned waist-hip ratio.

SorrelForbes · 28/03/2015 12:30

I have chunky thighs and found the Chelseas to be much more flattering than the Bistros.

ZaraW · 28/03/2015 12:51

I'm 5'9" and a standard size 10 with runners thighs. I love the Chelsea turn ups they fit me really well.

Oly4 · 28/03/2015 15:13

Argh, they don't have the name on them so I'm not sure which is which. I'd order a range tbh

cardoon · 28/03/2015 15:30

Bistro has no belt loops Oly
