Help me oh stylish ones, I know this Boden garment is weird and bonkers, but I'm helplessly drawn to it

You know sometimes you just see a dress or whatever and think "yes yes yes I love that!" and have to get it? Normally when that happens I know I'm onto a keeper and it will be a good buy. But even I can't deny that the Boden tunic-y dress thing I have the hots for at the moment is going to make me look like a lampshade on holiday.

But if you like it, wear it with pride. With shorts and a vest top maybe. It's very summery and won't look too bad on a beach.

I don't think it's intended to be worn as a dress, more of a beach cover up or something you would wear at home on a hot day. And for that I think it's cute.

I don't love it but it's not hideous, used as a beach cover up (I'd remove the drawstring) but not worn as a dress. I've seen much worse than this being worn in beach resorts.
