Best thing for dark under eyes ?

I have really dark patches under eyes. I get enough sleep.
I also have a prominent green/blue vein under one eye.
I've tried liquid concealer sand the sticks but they don't seem to work.
Would something like a highlighter/illuminatior work to brighten my under eyes up?
Or something else?
Don't want to spend too much - normal brands are maybelline/Rimmel/no7.

I have genetic dark circles that seem to be getting worse as I get older. Lucky me!

I have tried lots of different concealers but I've found the best one for me is Rimmel Wake Me Up as the peachy tone cancels out the blue/black circles. I think it is the cancelling out that's the important part, but am sure someone else can give more advice with that.

Mine go away when I reduce sugar, alcohol and exercise.

It'll be a trial, but if reducing exercise works...

I've always had dark circles under my eyes, even as a young girl people used to tell me I looked like a panda if I didn't conceal it. Have used a variety over the years. Some with success, some not so much.

Nowadays, I use YSL's Touche Éclat. It is expensive initially, but lasts for ages. Use a good eye cream underneath to help it sit well.

Sorry, have no particular suggestions for your vein problem, but if you have a good enough concealer, it would surely help?

Thanks. Have had a look at the YSL one and the Clinique one, they're just too far out of my price range .
I like the sound of reducing exercise .
I don't drink alcohol but eat a lot of cake and don't do much exercise.
Might have to sort that out.
Is drinking lots of water meant to help too?
Any other quick fix make up ideas?

I've been happy with No7 Instant Radiance undereye concealer, which covers the dark circles created by my 5 month old intermittently-sleeping baby. It's £13.50 and currently in the Boots 3 for 2 makeup promotion. The sales assistant told me it's made in the same factory as Touche Éclat - I'm not sure I believe that but it is pretty good.

Fake tan will make them look better, just apply all over your face, not sure of your skin tone but I'm so pale, if I have a bit of a tan my dark circles look better.

Touche Eclat is amazing, OP have a look on ebay or amazon, you'll probably find it cheaper.

The Body Shop did a highlighting concealer a while ago that was pretty good.

You need to colour correct the dark before applying your foundation.

Orange cancels dark circles.

Cover them with a creamy, thick, bright orange concealer (lipstick will do as a pp suggested),
Then apply your foundation straight over the top but careful when blending in,
Then add a brightening, illuminating Concealer last to reflect the light (Loreal True Match Touché Magique is good).

Without the Orange underneath, nothing will cover it, no matter how expensive

I don't know if it's available in any stores, unfortunately (if you happen to be in the US, you can get it at Target for about $10), but you can order it online. It's quite thick--you can apply it with a brush or your fingertip, and it blends well and doesn't sink too badly into wrinkles. It's kind of an odd colour in the pot but it is the only concealer I've tried that truly covers my dark circles almost invisibly (and I've tried pretty much every concealer including most of the ones on this thread). Highly recommend this one!

Look at Ben nye it's from usa and is a corrector you can buy it on eBay. Corrects anything.

I posted a similar thread on here recently with the exact same problem. I was recommended a Boots concealer, called Lasting Perfection:

It really works well and only £4 a tube, lasts for ages as only use a tiny bit.

I tried touché éclat but that's an illuminator and just made my eyes look super bright rather than concealed/flesh coloured.

I second Clinique's all about eyes concealor. I have inherited very purple under eye area and this concealor is definitely the best I've ever used. Has great coverage and you only use the tiniest amount.
It may seem expensive but honestly it lasts for ages. Mine is well over a year old but hasn't spoiled as it's very hard for air to get into the tube.
I apply with a small brush and then pat in with my ring finger...
I use Nars translucent setting powder afterwards.

Touché eclat won't conceal very dark circles as its a highlighter rather than a concealer.

Dior Skinflash - better than Touche Éclat.

The Ben NYE is good but best corrector for my hardcore circles is the Bobby brown one followed by the concealer.

Any radiant touch type pens don't forget are highlighters rather than correctors or even concealers.
