annoying M&S

I know this has been done a million times but maybe someone will tell them! Their stock control is terrible. They constantly send me emails about 20% off and similar offers. Whatever knickers or bras or nighties I look at ( this is all I buy from them) they are out of stock. All the nice stuff is gone. Always. I am what must be a popular size- 32D bust and 10 for knickers. All the pretty bras, the Rosie whatsits and Autograph have waltzed off the shelves. Even in the flagship London store it's the same. I once spent an hour in the lingerie dept and out of 8 bras I tried on ( many not my size but thought I'd try anyway as their sizing is not consistent) I came out buying 1. Rant over.

Agreed. I had a rant at them by email a few weeks ago when they told me a shirt I had ordered on one of their 20% off promos was out of stock (this about 5 days after I placed the order, and the rest of it had been delayed) and they said their stock levels online are not "live" though they're working on this, apparently.

It's well-publicised that they've had real problems with their warehouse and moving to a new distribution model over the last year or so. Imagine it's a fairly high priority at M&S HQ to sort this out!

You don't really want M&S undies, they're rubbish.

pinkfrocks · 27/03/2015 12:01

No they are not rubbish. Their knickers are fine and some of their bras now that I know my size are fine too.

m&s undies are fine, just fit yourself. I am wearing an m&s bra today and it fits nicer than ones three times the price. the black multipack knickers are virtually indestructible, unlike the sainsburys ones recommended here that fell apart after a couple of washes.

but yes I must agree about stock control, its always the same sizes sold out. the same in the childrens wear as well.

Optimism · 27/03/2015 13:41

Totally agree, completely infuriating. They never ever have knickers in a size 8. Have also tried many times to try on their jeans which everyone on here raves about and they never have those in my size either. I've 'brought it to their attention' on numerous occasions but it doesn't make any difference. You'd think it would be a quick and easy way of massively increasing their turnover if they just actually stocked the complete size range. Baffling levels of incompetence.

pinkfrocks · 27/03/2015 13:46

I could bet good money on it that any bra that looks a bit glam, will be sold out in all sizes from 32B-32D, and 34B-34D within minutes! Looking at their website it's just one disappointment after another. If they know these sizes are popular why the heck don't they have more made in the first place? They must be losing £millions.
