I'm sure this has been asked before, but will ask anyway. Where do you buy nice going out type tops from? Ones with sleeves preferably. Am 35, size 12, curvy.

French Connection
The odd thing from Coast
I've also had some silk tops from John Lewis and the White Company that are very nice
I'm 38

Aha. I forgot about French Connection. I used to shop there a lot in my 20s but haven't been in for years.

Mint Velvet gets votes here.

Warehouse/Zara. The odd Oasis top. River Island and Miss Selfridge good for glitz and sparkle.

I also used to shop at French connection in my mid 20s and have rediscovered them in my mid 30s. It can be hit and miss but the quality is brilliant and I find they are fashionable enough (I want to avoid looking like a mum!) but without being ridiculous.
I find you have to go in and try on as everything on the website looks shapeless. The regeny St store is great
