Mini face lift have you had one?

I am 43, I had dermal fillers last year for my nasolabial folds and marionette lines and I have been very happy with the results, they've really lasted! However, nature and Gravity is providing me with slight drooping jowls that is concerning me! Not major but I notice and I look different in photos than what I looked like even 2 years ago. I understand and embrace aging but also thankful for the medical interventions that are available! I'm not looking to look 20 again, I just want the sagging skin gone, just not ready for that jowly look just yet!!

Anyway, I have a consultation with a specialist facial surgeon this week who has great reviews. He doesn't do thread lifts which is what my consultant who did my fillers suggested, in fact doesn't believe in them, hence the consultation and thinking I might as well go straight to a mini face lift rather than a less evasive thread lift which may not last as long or work?

Has anyone been through this? Any advise on what to ask, expect etc? Please feel free to pm me as I understand how personal this is (have nc) as I have no intention telling anyone other than my DH!

Thanks

Jeepers, you could honestly be me. Same age, same fillers, same appearance of jowls suddenly and same desire to have a lower face lift! So no advice but I'll watch with interest. Realself is a great website for experiences of surgery and procedures.

Little off topic but curious to know how much your fillers cost as am considering.... Thanks

Can't really remember. Had them a couple of years ago at sk:n but by an excellent guy who's now moved on. I think it was about £300 and they've lasted brilliantly and are totally invisible.

Fillers are awesome - immediately effective!
