I'm hoping the peeling is a bit quicker to get going this year, as we go away in 11 days....

Any suggestions as to how to make it start sooner? I'm thinking wearing socks and shoes all the time?

It is less than a week since I started and my feet have almost finished peeling! Now as smooth as the proverbial baby's bottom...
I have been wearing shoes/socks/boots/tights etc for the last week - too cold not to.

Bought mine in Boots, you can also purchase it online from them.

mammuzzamia · 23/03/2015 13:33

I'm going to watch this with interest if you don't mind. I saw the threads last year and wondered what all the hoo hah was about verrucas (I realise now that's not what Footner is for).

MyVisionsComeFromSoup · 23/03/2015 13:43

£19.99 from Boots, saw it online for £16.99 (but there might have been postage on top of that). I recall from last year some people found a version online from China (?) which was a fraction of the price and worked just as well.

gonegrey (me too btw, so much easier than faffing with hairdye Wink) - over and done in a week is what I'm aiming for too.

i've just had a look at what this is - i'm intrigued.

plastic bag socks you wear for just an hour and during the following days, your feet become magically smooth?

TheTallestDaffodil · 25/03/2015 21:22

Nope, so disappointing, only the already-quite-smooth skin peeled off Sad

VivaLeBeaver · 25/03/2015 21:24

I used the China knock off one two weeks ago and it's not as good as Footner. I have had peeling but not all over.

cerealqueen · 25/03/2015 23:03

I've used this in the past pickles foot ointment which is far cheaper. Applied overnight with some regular cotton socks and the hard skin came off in chunks, literally. A tin lasted quite a while.

poppym12 · 26/03/2015 10:45

oohhh i remember the pickles stuff cerealqueen. is that what footner does then? t'was a bit grim iirc Grin

MyVisionsComeFromSoup · 26/03/2015 12:48

still waiting for the peeling Sad.

I don't know what is in Footner, but the pickles stuff is 50% salicylic acid and it is very effective, you only need a little, and you have to soak your feet after a few days too and then it all just falls off. Its is vile but totally fascinating!

poppym12 · 26/03/2015 17:24

only the horrible skin falls off though? (worried about losing my trotters!!)

MyVisionsComeFromSoup · 28/03/2015 16:16

YES! starting to peel now.
poppy it's just the top layers that come off, so if those layers are calloused and nasty, that's what will come off.

I am going to footner in prep for my summer holidays in June. Gorgeous feet here i come. Not sure when to buy but think its too soon atm. Think i will do it maybe late April? I go on holiday at the end of June?

TheTallestDaffodil · 28/03/2015 18:43

Just bought some pickles - feeling hopeful!

chipsandpeas · 28/03/2015 18:46

mine came from a amazon seller today - was going to do it tonight but holding off til tomorrow as im going swimming on tues night and cant risk the peeling starting til after then

Trebushay · 30/03/2015 21:02

Am all footnered up right now will report back.........

Pigleychez · 30/03/2015 21:33

I did this last. Wasn't as magical as I had thought it would be sadly. Was ok but not WOW!

Ive found Flexitol Heel balm really good. Its a thick cream but regular use with this works great.

Trebushay · 07/04/2015 22:55

Ok day 8 reporting back I am mid shed skin everywhere I can see it's going to end well but my lord the flaking is quite ridiculous ATM

GinBunny · 07/04/2015 23:26

I tried the cheap version and was disappointed - Pickles or Footner for my next go?

OvertiredandConfused · 07/04/2015 23:40

Can I ask what you can wear on your feet while you're peeling? I often wear sheer, nude tights and heels to work - will that cover up enough?

Gem124 · 08/04/2015 08:41

Soak every night in warm water... Worked a treat for us x
