My usual e bayer seems to have been kicked off e bay. Does anyone have a reliable source? There are some dodgy looking websites but I wouldn't want to use my credit card on them iykwim.

Can you not get a private prescription and just pick it up at any old chemist? Should be possible in theory.

I used to use this all the time, and am in a country where you could buy it over the counter. The law changed this year, so that you had to get a prescription - it's easy to find a doctor to give you a prescription, but the last time I asked for one, although he was happy to write it out, he told me that it's out of stock pretty much everywhere. Apparently the patent has run out, so the companies that were producing aren't any longer. (I'm not entirely clear about this, but it seems that since there's no patent at the moment, anyone can make it, so there's no money in it. I may be wrong about this. I was given the impression that someone might make it soon, but I'm not exactly sure about it. )

Thanks ladies. It is out of stock on that link. I wonder if what you say is true askalice because there is a shortage on eBay in general.

Skinceuticals sell Retin A cream 1.0 and 0.5 as do Obagi. I got the SkinCeuticals cream from Ebay as it was a bit cheaper than directly from the website and the Obagi cream from a Dermatologist during a consultation about botox/fillers but I think you could obtain from Obagi directly. HTH

Brices · 24/03/2015 19:26

Well if you want the Obagi label on, I could always sell you that one, tad more expensive though!

LucilleBluth · 24/03/2015 19:56

Is that Website legit? Skinceuticles on eBay seems like an option. Not bothered about labels.

I dont think it can be patent related because generics have been available for years. I have purchased from alldaychemist in the past but be warned they've had repeated CC problems. Not sure if they have it in stock. Ships from India. Inhousepharmacy used to be another source.

Brices · 25/03/2015 07:37

Never had any problems with united pharmacies.
To try and work out which online pharmacies are legit is tough! I tend to see if they sell controlled drugs, if they do probably scam. Also there are online pharmacy forums you can try and wade through to gain their opinions, people quickly post if not happy.

Kundry · 25/03/2015 07:41

Skinceuticals isn't Retin-A, it's a weaker retinoid. Obagi is but the price is mega inflated!

LucilleBluth · 25/03/2015 11:45

Oh no, I can't be doing with weak crap Wink I think I will take the plunge with that link. I can always deny using the site to my CC company if it goes tits up. The lengths we will go to eh! It is the ONLY thing that works though.

It'll be fine.
To copy the Obagi Nu-Derm "secret" buy the hydroquinone cream as well, mix small amount of this with tretinoin before application.
(Must use high UVA/UVB sun block, which you know about anyway asking about Ret A).
Have a look at the before and after pics with Obagi Nu-Derm stunning results, really does switch on fibroblasts collagen production.
