What day bag for holidays?

We're off to sunnier climes at the weekend. I have an old Mulberry Anyhony that I usually take with me, but I'd rather take something washable that I'm happy taking to the beach as well as trekking around Disney all day. I like a cross body style to keep hands free, don't want anything too big or heavy, and because it will purely be a holidays bag, I don't want to spend much.

What does everyone else take?

I bought a gorgeous oilskin type 'beach bag' from Fossil last summer. I used it for everything: flight bag, shopping bag, day at the pool bag etc etc. Great investment and it'll be used for many years.

It's essentially a large, zipped shoulder bag.

Thanks both of you. coupdefoudre, I love Le Pliage, but although I could see its use at the beach, I wouldn't want to carry a large shoulder bag around Disneyworld. I also have sloping shoulders which seem to enjoy slipping bags off them...

Thanks morris, I'll check out Fossil x

My suggestions would be Fossil or Kipling - both you can clean easily and both have tons of options and colourways - plus if you leave near an outlet you may get one for a bargainous price too.

I'd say Kipling too. Come in loads of styles and colours.

I have an oilcloth cross body bag from Fatface which I really love.
