High waisted dark denim jeans for a parsnip shape

Any recommendations please? I am a size 10 or 12, and a proper parsnip shape. Skinnies look awful on me, so I am looking for slim or straight leg (I think). Happy to pay up to 50 for something high street, but more if they would make me look amazing (unlikely).

I am 5 foot 1 inch tall, so may need to have them shortened.

Have you tried Mint Velvet? I got a black pair (of skinnies but I am also a parsnip shape and they are honestly really flattering) from there after a recommendation on here a few months ago and have lived in them ever since. They do short lengths too - but might bust your budget a bit unless you can wait for one of the House of Fraser 20% off weekends.

Otherwise Uniqlo jeans are great (if they still do their slim straight style go for those) and not expensive at all. They only do one length though.

Gap have a petite range online and have been making a big song and dance about their denim lately - again they have plenty of straight styles.
