What to pack? Inspiration needed!

Hello all

I need some inspiration! Just booked a fab weekend away for DHs birthday. We will firstly be going to a spa, then an Italian restaurant and then to a casino. We do the same trip almost annually but this year I want to make a little extra effort. What clothes shall I pack?

For info:

  • I am mid-20s
  • a size 12/14 on the bottom
  • a size 12 on the top
  • I am 5 foot 9

I usually dress a little 'frumpy', and have recently updated my work wardrobe, but I still need to make more effort with regards to my casual attire. I would love to make the weekend extra special! Any inspiration would be gratefully received.

How glam do you like to go? Definitely think something gorgeous for the meal and casino. Do you wear heels? New swimsuit for the spa?

I can't do links on my IPad, but this dress is gorgeous from Monsoon.

Ooh, I was just looking at that dress on ebay! In the dark green it's only £84

I'm not the seller btw

Thank you for your swift responses Lovewearingjeans and Behooven.

How glam do you like to go? I definitely would love the wow factor this time.

Do you wear heels? I love wearing them - but they can't be too high. DH is a couple of inches taller than me but if I wear heels I tower over him.

New swimsuit for the spa? Absolutely! I am thinking new everything! Including a new weekend bag.

I love that dress, I just can't imagine myself in it. I may have to pop into my local monsoon to try it on. Smile

If that is the budget you are thinking of, I would look at Monsoon website for inspiration. Can you get to John Lewis? How about a personal shopper there? They have swimsuits in different brands and prices, loads of glamorous dresses, accessories etc Smile go for it!

I didn't even think of a personal shopper. That's a fab idea. I have used the one in the local Debenhams before and that was a great experience. Thank! Smile
