Make Up & photos

How much make up do you apply for it to show on photos?!!!

I usually wear, on a daily basis, foundation, powder, blush eyeshadow, liner & mascara and a little lip gloss. Admittedly, I don't over do it, I don't see the point it troweling it on, so it looks as though crayola has gang-banged my face. But, whenever a photo is taken of me, it looks as though I haven't a scrap of make-up on!! I'm the least photogenic person on the planet to begin with so this doesn't help! Do I really need to pile the stuff on for it to show on pics??

My usually brands are Rimmel foundation (loreal or revlon if I'm feeling rich) loreal mascara, and just a mix of everything else. Do you have to use a more expensive brand to see better results? What's your thoughts?

I've found as I've got older i now need to go a shade darker on my foundation. I was previously an ivory skinned individual but now use light beige, people comment on how healthy I now look and I've noticed it shows up more in photos too

Definitely agree with going a shade warmer than you usually are. Do your brows need defining?
I wear a lot of make up. Green and lilac correctors, highlight and contour, powder, full eye make up you name it but it takes that amount of slap to make to me look just ok. Seeing make up in photos isn't always a great thing.
Would you consider eye shadow? A brighter lipstick?
Look at pictures of a list celebs on the red carpet. You might only notice their eye shadow or lippy. Its not a great thing to 'see' foundation/concealer/powder.
