Spray tans. Thumbs up or down?

I'm a spray tan Virgin and am terrified of looking bright orange. What are the rules from those in the know. I have a big do coming so I want to know how long they last so I don't cock up the timing. Thanks y'all

Dont do it! unless you want to be orange and its a chavvy look.

Not for me either. I can always tell when someone has fake tan. It just looks so false.

Go a couple of days beforehand. Exfoliate everywhere, use plenty of body lotion. Tell the salon what your expectation is for level of tan, so they know whether to go for a slight change or full on dunked in creosote. Wear dark, loose clothes. Dont freak if it looks too dark after application, thats the guide colour. Shower off afer a few hours/following morning. No idea what brand the place that I go to uses but so far I've never been orange or chavvy looking. Keep exfoliating and moisturising in the days after as well.
