Skin tag on eyelid

I've got a skin tag on my eyelid it never bothered me before but it's got much bigger!
Doctor has referred me to the eye clinic but that could take ages, is there any home remedies I could try to get rid of it??

When I went to gp with eyelid skintag I was referred to the skin specialist. He froze it, snipped it off with surgical scissors then put a spot if iodine on it. It took only a few minutes. I'm not suggesting you do this yourself though!

If you have a local beautician that offers advanced electrolysis, I would go in and have a chat with them. They can treat skin tags with electrolysis, but obviously I don't know if they would be able to treat one on your eye.

I had one of these removed. It didnt take long at all for referral so I would hang on.
Mine was removed by a specialist nurse in the eye clinic and she had an assistant. I was put in a chair not unlike a dentists chair and it was removed. To be honest I felt it was quite trivial whilst I was waiting amongst people who had very serious eye conditions, and I mentioned this to the nurse. She said I was there for a reason and that these tags can bleed badly when removed. This was the reason for having two of them there and all the equipment so my advice would be patient and leave well alone!!

I have a tendency towards skin tags and NO WAY would I be letting a beautician near them. Go to your GP for a referral, as the other ladies have suggested.
