Leather converse - which ones?

CandyLoo · 19/03/2015 20:16

I'd like some leather converse for Spring / Summer. To wear with skinnies and tube skirts etc. I know I don't want the high top / baseball boot style but does anyone have any other suggestions? I've googled lots of images but there's so many to choose from!
Anyone with any already or seen any nice ones? Thanks

Do they need to be Converse? I got Ash Virgo in gold leather and they go with everything and are really comfortable too.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/03/2015 21:36

I've got these and some tan ones. But am tempted by white or silver for Summer.

CandyLoo · 19/03/2015 21:42

Thanks both. They don't need to be converse, I love the look of those ASH ones but they seem quite a bit more expensive. I shall look at other brands though, thanks for reminding me there's more than just Converse!

I've got some gold converse I've been wearing for a couple of years. They do go with everything.

Stripeytees, I got a pair of the Ash Virgo in black leather and am finding them supremely uncomfortable. The first (and only) outing with them they tore the back of my heels to shreds. Definitely the right size for me but just too painful to wear. Did you have to break yours in at all?

Am probably going to give up on them as life just seems too short, even though they look lovely.

I adore my converse, though and have had quite a few pairs of leather hi-tops in the past with no problems.

Not particularly helpful, I know, OP - sorry to hijack...

In leather I have the slim fit oxbow as they go with loads, look smart and go from spring to autumn.

I also have brown leather hightops which are lovely.

LaCerbiatta · 20/03/2015 10:00

Honey: can you please link to those oxbow? Google isn't giving me anything!

CandyLoo · 20/03/2015 10:47

Ooh yes - please post a link if you can, I'm having trouble negotiating the minefield of Converse trainers.

I think they are also called Converse Dainty?

HoneySwampDragonInMourning · 20/03/2015 10:52

Here's some

They are nice with skinny/slim fits/ leggings and dainty enough for dresses and shorts.

CandyLoo · 20/03/2015 10:56

Thanks Honey. They look great. I wear orthotics which raise my feet up quite a bit so they need to accommodate those. I'll have a look, see if they also come in leather.

Wagon not really no, they felt a tiny bit stiff when I first took them out of the box but I haven't had any rubbing issues. I mostly wear mine with opaque tights. (In case you've worn them barefoot, or sometimes I find socks rub my feet rather than the shoes, if that makes sense.)

LaCerbiatta · 20/03/2015 13:30

Thanks!

Thanks, Stripy! Must be me, then! I wore mine with opaques, too, and literally had to peel them off me Shock blurgh!!! I'm gonna give them to my sister, I think. She loves them!
