I'm getting married in July and I want a non weddingy wedding dress. I've tried a few bit the one I really love is this from Hobbs.
It's quite green! I need a bridesmaids dress for DD who is 4 and something for 1 year old DS. I'm rubbish at this, any help?!

this one?

Lovewearingjeans · 19/03/2015 15:43

Go for the one you love Smile does the green suit you better than the White? My cousin couldn't wear white or Ivory as they made her look like death! Could you stipulate no one else wearing green so they accidentally wear the same dress?

too much?

I like that, thank you!

Sorry cross posted! I like the first one fanjo posted, but not the second. The wedding is registry office and only very close family, so no clashing Grin

Green is my best colour I think. I'm pale with dark hair and green eyes. I feel like I should wear white, but I do love a bit of green!

could you find someone to make you one? My mum made mine using this pattern.

tethersend · 19/03/2015 16:34

How about this with a matching jacket?

pieceofpurplesky · 19/03/2015 16:36

I think it's gorgeous - have your daughter in cream with a green sash. Son in jeans and a green t shirt!

I love the green dress, your dd could wear a cream dress as mentioned above. I love this from bhs, sorry don't know how to link .

But not a real green dress - that's cruel Grin [obscure song lyric]

IthinkIneedmorewine · 19/03/2015 21:25

No chance of getting one made, but lovely pattern!
Love that too tethers. Am definitely feeling a bit more confident about the green. Thinking metallic sandals, ivory dress for DD and stone short dungarees with white polo shirt for DS...

And have had barenaked ladies in my head all evening thanks to poosey!

Lovely dress!

I got married in a deep green full length dress and my bridesmaids wore cream. When I think back (20 years!!!) I'm always glad that I went with what I knew suited me rather than a conventional choice Grin

Have a lovely day x
