Do I keep these?

these have just arrived. I've been looking for some biker boots since December and have only just found ones that are right. Right shape, right height, not too much hard ware, not too gapey etc etc. With the sale and the code I paid £70 for them, so while not crazy money, not peanuts either IMO.

But 1. they are slightly too heavy, but I think that is the nature of biker boots. 2. its nearly spring. But it's now a bit warm for my Ugg Kensingtons, and I still need some ankle coverage. I bought some brown biker boots when pregnant with DS1 6 years ago which I have rarely worn. I think it's because they are brown, and too pointy. My wardrobe is mainly black and grey so brown really doesn't go with much, except blue jeans, but then it still looks odd with my top half and handbag.

The boots are free delivery and free returns, so genuinely nothing to lose if they go back....

I bought a pair of similar styled Doc Marten boots a few years ago. They were one of the most comfortable pairs of hardwearing boots that I have ever had. I wore them day in and day out for four winters until they bore no resemblance to their original colour and had stretched to a size bigger than my feet. I mourn their passing!

I vote 'keep them'. Grin

Keep. Once they're broken in they will be like slippers, and will last you next winter and beyond even if they're not in heavy rotation in spring. (Plus, I think we have a storybook image of spring in the UK as being all flowers and gambolling lambs - in actual fact it's frequently cold and peeing rain!)

Docs are the best. Keep!

Now I want a pair. Grin

judy I dream of horses!!

They're surprisingly soft: not like the DMs of my yoof.

So they're keeers then: thanks for the encouragement.

Keep, I have some similar to yours - docs but with a higher leg. They have done about 7 winters now and are still going strong. They are great to go camping with I wear tights and shorts with mine where no-one can recognise me and are much more versatile than pointed toe boots / brown.

I have DM boots that are possibly the Becca, slightly cowboy in design and have worn them for about 5 years. They are comfortable and really well made. They look as good as new. I vote keep them!

Keep - they will last you for years.
