Best eye liner that goes on with a brush please?

Many moons ago, pre baby, I used to use eyeliner from a pot with a slanty brush. I think it was MAC but so long ago I couldn't be sure..

I would like to start using this again for the odd evening out. Can anyone recommend me a great brand?

Tried to ask at the Bobbi Brown counter but my 18mo dd did a massive, snot emitting sneeze and the pristine consultant looked like she might die so we made a speedy exit and I am now planning to click and collect to avoid a repeat performance!

If it helps- I use black mascara and dark bluey grey ( laura mercier stormy grey) pencil. I have brown eyes so prefer slightly softer colour liner than black as can be harsh but totally open to suggestions..

Bobbi Brown gel liner is what you're looking for.

Great colours, in a pot, quite solid until you paint it on, you need to buy a brush with it. Lasts well.

Maybelline has a version, and so do MAC too.

Any suggestions on colour?

I have brown eyes, I wear the Ivy Shimmer Ink and also the Cobalt Ink. I like a strong colour but not quite black.

I prefer the maybelline to Bobbi brown one , easier to out on and stays put just as well

Laura mercier tight line is my absolute hero eyeliner. Comes as a dry cake that you turn to liquid with a damp brush. Technique takes a bit of getting used to but I think it makes my lashes look a lot thicker/fuller without the obvious above lashes line of product.

I found the Maybelline gel liner in pot a bit dry. A friend said the MAC was better.

I use the Laura Mercier tight liner too. Blue Marine or the Grey. It's great.
