Babyliss Big Hair ... Have I broken it :(

I was using my BBH earlier and it started making quite a loud noise and then it cut out, I thought maybe it had overheated so let it cool and then tried it again it switched on but didn't rotate... I've broken it haven't I ? Or will it make some miraculous recovery?

It still doesn't rotate now btw. Sad I've not even had it that long.

I'm on my 3rd BBH. They go pffft! and that's the end. Happens easily enough I think. If you have your receipt, the shop will replace it for you if its within warranty. What I now do is keep the box, stick the receipt on to the box, and chuck it store it in the wardrobe. I'll lose a receipt. A big box? Not so much. Bingo, new BBH.

I've lost the receipt! Only had it since Xmas time and not overly to be honest :( poor BBH

Hi mine broke and i didnt have the receipt, i rang conair - google them. I quoted the number on the unit they could see it was still in warranty, i posted it back and got a new one in 3 days. I was very pleased, easy peasy and nice hair again!

I am on my third one too. Always keep the receipt (and buy from argos! )

TheFutureMrsB · 18/03/2015 20:52

I thought I had kept the receipt but obviously not lol! It was bought from Asda but I don't know if I could try taking it back there? May be worth a try.

Mine is now rotating super slowly - does anyone know if it's fixable?

TheFutureMrsB · 18/03/2015 21:02

I'm really not sure QueenBean but mine never slowed down just stopped so your may still have a bit of life in it.

Have just googled and it says there is a way!

I don't really like it though, blow drying hair up the cuticle gives me the frizz so I might resort back to the trusty barrel brush and hair dryer nozzle

TheFutureMrsB · 18/03/2015 21:13

Ahhh the trusty brush and hairdryer .... Did us well for years but then the BBH came along lol! It's just easier with the BBH, I tip my head upside down blast my hair until very nearly dry and then use the BBH to finish it off, normal blowdrying just seems so much effort now Wink
