... That's it really. Off to Mexico for Easter and want some lovely non frumpy wedges and fancy them in white. I'm knocking on a bit now and a size 18 on a good day but I'm told I still have good fashion sense by my younger friends and colleagues but can't seem to find the perfect sandal.

Oh thank Stat they look good and a bargain. Only worry is whether they might be a bit too high.

Do you think the cross over strap at the ankle would flattering or cankle inducing?

It's a trial and error with cankle inducement! I don't wear ankle straps normally but I have another pair of wedge sandals with one and somehow they're ok. Don't know why, but seems to work better than say a court shoe with a strap.

I don't know if this would be what you're looking for, but I have a pair of these Toms wedges from a few summers ago. They are the comfiest heels ever, and I have v low tolerance for heel-wearing at the best of times. And, you know, they give poor kids shoes. Usually is enough to make me press "go to checkout" when I'm on a purchase precipice Grin

I've just ordered a pair of Swedish Hasbeens as well- again, might not be your bag but I'm hearing good things about comfiness!

Like the look of some of the Toms but think I may need leather rather than canvas as I'm pretty hard on my shoes.

Have always liked the look of Hasbeens but think they probably better on the more youthful as I'm fast approaching the big five O so think if I wear them I will look more frumpy than fashionable.
