Toddlers trousers bunching up with boots

Over half of his pants look stupid with his new boots, I thought they weren't as chunky as his last boots but the trousers still don't look right with them. The material doesn't go over the top of the boot and just bunches up from the knee down.mFine with his stretchy skinny jeans but not his chinos and smart trousers which all seem stupidly narrow at the bottom.

Does anyone else find this?

Has your toddler voiced his dissatisfaction?

Stretchy skinny jeans on a toddler?
Yeah gods, can't be comfortable Hmm

Off to the late night Boot Shop with you, you terrible mother.

How's a toddler supposed to develop properly with bunched up trousers to contend with all the while.

tut.

You could dress him in a red blousoned shirt and pretend he's a Cossack? Change his name to Dmitri. Job done.

Lagoonablue · 17/03/2015 22:31

Oh the shame when he goes to playgroup!

squiz81 · 18/03/2015 07:32

Can you fold the bottom of the smart trousers up so they sit on top of the boot? My ds has short legs so I'm always having to fold his trousers up

chinos and stretchy jeans on a toddler Hmm .

Funkytown · 18/03/2015 08:03

are chinos not acceptable for a toddler then ???

Ijustworemytrenchcoat · 18/03/2015 10:53

Well even worse than that I'm afraid meglet and 70isalimit they are actually jeggings from the girls section, I must be damaging him for life mustn't I?! I put him in these as opposed to the very rigid non-stretchy jeans from the boys section as I know what I would rather clamber round soft play in. I'm quite happy with how I dress him though, apart from the boot issue. He looks quite lovely.

Can't quite see the problem with chinos, depends on the material. I choose very soft cotton ones rather than rigid ones. They seem quite comfortable to me. He has cuffed leggings for round the house but only wears them out with wellie a really as I wouldn't put them on with boots.

They would have to be rolled up a bit too much Squiz81.
