Size 16 Apple needs emergency dress help

Aaargh! My lovely dh has booked us a weekend away for our 10th wedding anniversary this weekend & I desperately need help to find a couple of new dresses. I think I mostly suit tunic, chiffon, floaty type dresses (empire & wrap make me look 6 months pregnant) but after a quick scoot round the shops I'm totally stuck :( Can anyone help...anyone?

Budget? Colour? Which shops can you get to?

Colour - I'm open but I don't suit red & I'm not keen on green. Budget - up to £100 ish per dress & I'm near a very limited high street but could order online & pay for next day delivery. Thanks for any help :)

How tall are you, what length do you like?

I'm 5'3 so I'm not keen on any thing too long. I like dresses with tights & high ankle boots. I've been googling for hours but just can't find anything.

I'm an apple size 16. I got a completely plain chiffon shift dress from Primark yesterday (lined shift body and sheer chiffon sleeves). Haven't tried it on yet but for £13 it was worth a punt. Mine is black, but there were other colours.

I love this one - chiffon

What you need is a colour block or illusion dress that makes it look like you have a waist even if you haven't.

Oh thanks everyone, I was at my wits end & now I've got lots of options. I do favour the tunic ones as anything that goes in at the waist sadly highlights that I don't. Really appreciate all the help
