Stupid question re hair

Hello

I'm seriously thinking about getting my long bra length hair cut to about my shoulders as I'm so bored of it, and also think I'm not really rocking long hair anymore. But I wear my hair up 50% of the time, either in a ponytail or a bun on the top of my head. Will a ponytail look a bit pathetic on shoulder length hair, and will I still have enough hair for a bun?!

You might be able to do a sock bun, but not a proper wrapped around bun. Pony tail is fine just won't be a swishy long one, it's more "hair tied back from face" IYSWIM

I'm getting my long hair cut shoulder length too. You'll be able to do a scruffy bun which I really like and I think a pony tail looks cute on shorter hair.
.... It'll grow soon enough anyway!

Don't do it if you tie your hair back alot. It'll just drive you mad that you can't properly tie it back anymore, and it'll keep falling in your face.

You'll get an irritatingly messy and short ponytail, too.

Oh go for it! Mines long and I'm sick of it- getting it whacked off on Saturday and can't wait (I'll probably start growing it long again on sundayConfused)

Thinking of the same. Going to go to a hairdressers today and get it cut to my collarbone I think, not brave enough to go above the shoulder in one go! I have good hair, but it just always seems messy when it's long.

Search Pinterest for long bob pictures and also up dos for short hair. I had mine cut yesterday to a couple of inches below shoulders, would have gone a bit shorter but I'm getting married next month and need it to up properly and didn't want to risk it not doing. Do it in stages if you're worried.

Had mine cut last week! I can't tie it back any more which does feel weird, and I had a bit of a wobble immediately afterwards, but I've had so many compliments on it this week and I really like it now. Only issue now is that my neck gets cold.

I went from below bra length to a pixie cut and loved it. Now can't decide whether to keep it short or grow out.
