Tall swimsuits

Another summer looms, another hunt for a swimming costume that fits my long body

Hate the ones at LTS and Next Tall.

Nothing on this earth could persuade me to wear a bikini.

I just want a non-Speedo-style cossie that fits waaaaaaah!

I have been looking into this (have long body but short legs - bleurgh) The LTS ones are ugly. Lands End was recommended to me but I think they are a bit frumpy. M&S and either Debenhams or BHS do long versions of some of their ranges that are okay if you have no other ishoos (I need bust support and the ones they do long versions of seem to be for people who haven't BF 3 kids!). I have been looking on surfdome as they have a big range and maybe if I size up will stretch down...

I usually wear a bikini but want a costume for swimming with the kids as they pull the top down when carrying in the water and I want to go on the water slide. Have ordered a couple of tankinis with underwiring to see if they suit. Don't mind a tummy gap as long as not too much riding up.

Thanks junior!

Agree on the frumpy LTS ones.

I'm really tall (5'11) and have bust ishoos, too Grin... saggy D cups that need a nice bit of built-in support. Sometimes find that sizing up from a 12 to 14 solves my length issue, but tried one loads of swimsuits in John Lewis last week and it didnt help.

I had a lovely longer length tankini from M&S two years ago, but left it in the changing rooms in a water park in Dubai

Made do with a BHS one last year but its knackered already.

I also want something practical I can wear to the pool with the kids. Will investigate BHS again, and Lands End and Surfdome. Thanks x

I have this issue too. Am 5,7 but regular swimsuits pull up on the legs /bum /foof and down at the boobs! Going up a size doesn't help. Don't have the tummy for a tankini gap!

I had a brain wave the other day though - am thinking about getting a pair of those high waisted bikini bottoms and a separate tankini top to wear over.

I clocked some plain black bottoms in New Look for a tenner and am looking out for a tankini with support to wear on top.

I am hoping I've been a genius here and this works! Grin

Have a look at Pour Moi tankinis. Some of them have really good bottoms that come right up and the tops are long. This means they don't separate in the middle. Or just get the bottoms and a different top. I have a strapless tankini top from M&S that I wear with the Pour Moi bottoms.
