There is a mum at a playgroup I go to who looks completely at home with her clothes, hair and make-up - all of which are very vintage. Late 50s/early 60s in style, but not just the gorgeous dresses - trousers with blouses and fab shoes (a bit Patsy in Call the Midwife!) - and I can now see that having a vintage look does not mean you constantly have to be in prom dresses and petticoats.
So, vintage goddesses - how did you begin to get your look? (And am I even a fraud for asking?!) I am 35 but look younger (ie tatty and studenty but with nice skin!), very hourglassy (though a size 16 with fairly treetrunky legs), and have recently managed to get my bobbed dark hair into a pinned-up-at-the-sides thing that looks quite old-fashioned. I have not v much money. I wear hornrimmed glasses. And I am a HoC winter so can wear hot pink and blue-red lippy.
Any advice, online shops, beauty tricks to recommend? Or even photos of your glamorous selves for inspiration!
Many thanks
