Ankle boots

I have a fitted black wool dress from coast I love, but always wear with knee high boots or black patent heels. I've never wanted any before but fancy trying it with ankle boots. The dress comes to the knee, what sort of boots would you put with it? I've started looking online but I don't know where to start! Any ideas?

There are loads of beautiful, good quality boots in shoeaholics, all for £39. Whatever ones you get, get them from there!

I always recommend ash jalouse or spiral (which have a zip) to wear with dresses / skirts

I ordered 2 pairs from Dune, will try to attach pics, but think I need a RL opinion.

Not sure they're good enough to see DH took them last night without dress on. What do you think they look like with jeans? I am thigh heavy so not sure if skinnies look even worse with them.

I think a boot that dips at the front is more flattering if you are wearing skirts / dresses.

Of the pictures you posted, I prefer the second ones for skirts / dresses as the first pair seem to cut off your leg a bit too far up the leg if that makes sense?!

That's what I thought, first ones not very flattering on my calves, unfortunately the second pair don't fit as well.

So not so urgent on boots now, I wanted them for a dress I'm wearing on Saturday, to night out in London.

Will brave bare legs and nude shoes, maybe need a bit of self tan though.
