Whats your favourite lipstick brand?

I'm looking for non drying (actively moisturising even better), stays put (no bleeding or travelling), and colour that lasts a decent length of time. Am prepared to spend quite a bit for a lipstick that really performs but obviously budget options gratefully received!

Bobby Brown.i have several for different occasions and looks.

They last for ages and the colours are great.

I always get the make up person on the counter too choose one for me and have been pleasantly suprised at colours I would never have chosen have looked great on me!

Saurus72 · 15/03/2015 12:20

I really like Bobbi Brown too, very good quality. I also like Clinique chubby sticks.

MmeMorrible · 15/03/2015 12:28

Chanel lipsticks & lip liners are the best imo. Laura mercier lipstick is also good.

Judydreamsofhorses · 15/03/2015 14:09

The Nars Audacious ones have excellent staying power, and are non-drying - some really lovely colours too. I also like Lipstick Queen and YSL, but rarely reach for the Chanel ones I have - on me they disappear very quickly.

Dukketeater · 15/03/2015 14:15

MAC. The colour lasts for ages... I applied once on my wedding day and it lasted the whole day and night!

It isn't drying either

Onynx · 15/03/2015 14:25

I have tried several Estée Lauder & Clinique lipsticks but none have lasted on me - Rimmel Lasting Finish lipsticks so far seem to last longest & are not drying??

yazzy85 · 15/03/2015 14:46

Mac! Their shades come in lots of different finishes from matte to glossy lustre.

LaVieBoheme · 15/03/2015 15:03

My favourite is nice a cheap and is amazing. Rimmel, the Kate Moss collection. You can get it in normal or matte, they last for ages and they moisturise my lips really well.

cardoon · 15/03/2015 16:03

Estee Lauder pure colour sculpting envy is just what you are looking for

Viviennemary · 15/03/2015 16:07

I used to like Elizabeth Arden Lipsticks. But I've got a bit fed up of them now. I treated myself to a couple of Clinique ones after reading another thread about lipstick. They seem really nice.

MrsC2810 · 15/03/2015 16:09

Tom Ford or MAC for me.

Pepperpot99 · 15/03/2015 16:11

Helena Rubenstein are creamy and lovely. Clinique are beautiful colours - strong, warm but not gaudy.

maybemyrtle · 15/03/2015 16:15

Chantecaille, Edward Bess or By Terry. I have super dry lips and Mac, Bobbi Brown, EL, Chanel, Nars, Lipstick Queen etc are all too drying.

Lottapianos · 15/03/2015 16:31

Looks like you get what you pay for then Smile maybe a 5 minute session at a Bobbi Brown counter is in order!

My favourite brand for lipsticks, and the only brand that I have ever bought more than one lipstick from, is Soap and Glory. I refuse to spend more than a tenner on a lipstick though, so don't know how they compare to the posh brands.

DontDrinkandFacebook · 15/03/2015 16:37

MAC.

mimiasovitch · 15/03/2015 16:38

I have a ridiculously extensive lipstick collection, and my absolute favourite for long lasting and moisturising is an M and S Autograph one. £7. I've bought several in case my shade is discontinued!

TallulahBetty · 15/03/2015 16:42

MAC. Can't be beaten for range of colours and finishes. High street - Revlon.

Lovewearingjeans · 15/03/2015 17:14

I have to second the Rimmel Kate Moss, in the red especially. I wore it badly applied (on purpose) for Comic Relief on Friday, and it didn't budge!

BallroomWithNoBalls · 15/03/2015 17:26

I think it's always a toss up between moisture and long lastingness.

I don't mind reapplying lippy throughout the day, as long as it doesn't immediately slide off and lasts a couple of hours I don't expect more than that otherwise it will be a stain and drying. It's a nice little ritual reapplying lippy, hardly a chore.

SuperFlyHigh · 15/03/2015 17:32

Mac. Have tried Bobbi Brown they're ok but color payoff not the same. Some Laura mercier are nice too.

SuperFlyHigh · 15/03/2015 17:33

If you find lipstick drying what I always do is lipbalm before blot on hand then lipstick on top.

TrixLestrange · 15/03/2015 17:38

Mac

KissyBoo · 15/03/2015 18:36

Collistar

TheFallenMadonna · 15/03/2015 18:38

Nars
