Have recently had a drastic pixie cut to escape the treadmill of dyeing to embracing my grey. So cut off shoulder length curls. Now got v short hair (with eek..grey/white at the front/temples). Not been this short since I was 14!
Am adjusting to the colour. Am adjusting to the shortness. Am adjusting to seeing my ears and cheekbones. Lots of adjusting. I have a reasonable pretty face and great eyes. But my old wardrobe is rather severe. Worked well to balance the froufrou created by my curls iyswim. T-shirts, boyfriend cardigans, v-neck jumpers. Generally plain colours. These worked with feminine hair. Found myself feeling too fussy with the curls and patterns.
Now I think I need patterns. I am finding myself feeling a little bit ahem "butch". Pretty hair and face - but without the curls I feel lacking in anything pretty from the chin down iyswim.
So help. Please.
Need some pretty tops. Pretty but please god not "mumsy". Blues, greys, purples are working for my new colouring. V neck or scoop works best with my wide-ish shoulders and norks (32FF). Soft, drapy also best or I can look like spongebob square pants. Budget not massive (up to £30/35 a top -less would be brilliant) as am planning to grow some of the curl back once the dye is totally out - so not wanting to "invest" too much in the transitional stage.
Thank you!
