Spring jackets - where are you hiding?

Menswear full of lightweight jackets. Womenswear isn't. Why?

Any of you lovely ladies seen anything not biker style black jacket (pref with hood) as it's eluding me.

Something plain so can be worn over a dress without looking odd but also with jeans / casual. I'm so unimpressed by what's out there, tempted to just buy a couple of zip up hoodies in Primark and be done with it.

Ideas?

marking my spot. Have just bought a lovely mac from Zara but it's black so would like something a bit more spring/sunny but cool day jacket

Completely agree, I can't find anything, it's nit much to ask for is it?

I bought a spring coat cardi thing from New Look today - this one

It's not that warm and doesn't have a hood, but it will be easy to throw on over jeans or dresses, it doesn't do up either mainly because of my baby bump but I can add a scarf if it's chilly.

Gah! I can't link on my ipad. There is a short swing trench coat on the banana republic website. Nice length.

That H&M one is fab - I've tried it on. But I've decided to go for a more utility look and am waiting for this to arrive: www.next.co.uk/g302088s6#102517g30
