uv lamp for manicure

Hi
I treated myself to a manicure today with shellac polish.

I really wanted to see what it involved and whether I could get the kit needed to do it myself at home.

It looks relatively simple but my question is : Do I need to buy an 'official' CND lamp or do the other cheaper versions work just as well?

Can anybody recommend a good one?

I use sensationsil lamp and polishes. Good website and they sell them in Boots. I've been pleased- I have awful nails and the gel lasts up to 2 weeks

I have just this minute been looking at those on Boots website and they look pretty good. Might treat myself....thanks for the advice.

There's been alot in the press about UV Lights . No idea if it founded but no smoke without fire .

LED lights are considered safer.

Actually that's a very good point 70. I have already had skin cancer so know that I am susceptible and wouldn't actually want to take any chances.
The Sensationail one is LED so I think that's my decision made.
