..and was just wondering about aftercare. Ive been doing a bit of research and some people recommend tea tree, some witch hazel, any recommendations which is best (or anything else)?

Take something made of hard rubber to bite down on, don't scream too loud and wash painkillers down with a stiff drink before and after.
