I can shop tomorrow - nearest city has the obvious selection of shops I think.

I'm 5'6, size 8-10, short hair, HOC winter.

I have terrible feet so shoes are a problem. My current work shoes are too scruffy to wear. I could, at a push, wear a pair of black, low heeled, ballet pump things I've got.

Any ideas? It's a school based, non office job.

Oh no! I've got to make a decision for myself without your help?

How about a dress? That way you don't have to worry about matching outfits. The pumps you mentioned should go fine with a dress.

I would try Next for work dresses and department stores will have a good selection from various brands.

I think a dress is good. Would you go for skin coloured tights or opaque?

Either should be fine - depends on the dress really.

This dress would be suitable and low heel flat pumps should work well with it.

That's nice. I'm crap with accessories too but do have a nice red coral beaded necklace that might work with that.

Sounds good. Its easy to dress this kind of dress up and down for various occasions - neat cardigans, jackets, heels, boots, scarves, necklaces etc.
