Can you get "stretchy" belts for children.

DD is a bit fussy about the feel of clothes. She won't usually wear trousers as they are uncomfortable, she only likes leggings.

I just bought her some jeggings as a compromise, but they are far too baggy at the waist. They have belt loops, so I could get her belt, but worry it would be "uncomfortable".

Can you get soft and stretchy belts? Or is there any other solution? DH says I should wash them at 60 degrees and tumble dry them on hot to try and shrink them. I am actually toying with the idea.

I used ones similar to these for DS who had a little waist but long legs.
These are much nicer than the ones I found though.

Yes you can get the 'snake' buckle stretchy type belts but the best thing for mine was Clip Ho belts

They don't go all the way round the waist so easier for the child to pull up and down (I don't know how old she is!) without having to unbuckle anything. read the link, it explains it better! Grin

I used these for my DCs. The term that seems to bring up most searches is 'elastic belt'.

Those Clip Ho belts sound a very clever design. Thanks!
