Please talk tights to me........

Bought the Boden Betty dress in blue:

Intend to wear it to a posh lunch with a pair of Jigsaw high tweedy peep toes. Too cold (and too old) to go tightless - but what should I wear?

Is it the graphic blue or the navy? I think you may need a matt sheer nude pair of tights with that, but you could do opaques if you opt for the same colour, or a vivid contrast that picks up a colour in the tweed shoes. Or possibly nude net. Falke shellina (I think that is how to spell it) come in diffeerent skintone shades to match your skin and are very fine and not shiney, so just look like skin. Wolford are best for opaques or net, and I would think they might have a matching cobalt blue.

Wow, I wore cobalt blue tights to match my shoes in the eighties! I'm in the sticks so Falke will be difficult to get at short notice. Thanks, I'll check out those suggestions.

Coloured tights have made a comeback, honest! Anyway www.mytights.com would post out to you next day, I got my shelina tights from there for a wedding last Summer. (I'm also in the back of beyond).

Have you any fabulous closed-toe shoes?

You can get tights with a peep toe shoe opening at the end. not sure where from as shown by friend rather than having them myself

Tak1ng - I have fabulous closed toe wellies! I used to be shoe obsessed but I resolved to buy stuff for the lifestyle I have rather than the one I want. I rarely go anywhere dressy so can't justify another pair. I do have one pair of black heels but they look a bit heavy with the dress.
